used to 和 be used to 的含义和用法有什么不同?

一、含义不同

1、used to表示过去的习惯性动作，过去时常，过去曾（而现在不再）做，常译作“过去常常”。

2、be used to 后面接do表示：被用来做某事；接doing/名词表示：习惯于某一客观事实或状态。

二、用法不同

1、used to 其中的 to 是不定式，而不是介词，所以其后只接动词原形，不能接动名词。

be used to 有时是动词 use 的被动语态结构 ，意为“被用来”，其中的 to 为不定式符号，其后要接动词原形。be used to 意为“习惯于”时，to 是介词，所以其后要接名词或动名词，不能接动词原形。

2、used to 通常不能与表示具体次数，如 three times 或一段时间，如 three months 的词或短语连用，但是它却可以与 always, often 等表示经常性意义的副词连用。而 be used to 可以。如：我去过巴黎 3 次的英文：

正：I went to Paris three times. 

误：I used to go to Paris three times.

3、used to 构成否定式和疑问式时通常有两种方式：即借助助动词did 或直接将 used 用作助动词。be used to 没有这种用法。如：

He usedn't [didn't use] to come. 

他过去不常来。

You used to go there, usedn't [didn't] you? 

你过去常到那儿去，是吗?

辨析used to, be used to do和be used to doing

（1）used to表示过去的习惯性动作,过去如此,现在不再这样了.常译作“过去常常”.如：
He used to play basketball when he was young. 他年轻的时候常常打篮球.
There used to be an apple tree here. 过去这儿曾经有棵苹果树.
（2）be used to do表示“被用来做某事”.如：
Wood is often used to make desks and chairs. 木头常常被用来制作桌椅.
（3）be used to doing /n. 表示“习惯于”某一客观事实或状态,不强调动作,to是介词,后面接名词或动名词.如：
He is used to hard work. 他习惯于艰苦的工作.
She is not used to eating Chinese food. 她不习惯吃中餐.
